Anicia Brown
Anicia D. Brown (Theatre Instructor/Director) has been involved with live theater for 40+ years having performed in, costumed, choreographed, directed, and/or produced over 200 shows. Directing credits include the Regal Opera Company, Euless Summer Musicals, Rhythm Nation Performing Arts, Grand Prairie Community Theatre, Starlight Friends, Inc., and Yokota Players – Tokyo, Japan. Recently arrived from Texas where she was the Theatre Director at the Center for Home Education, Anicia has volunteered as the Artistic Director for OnStage in Bedford and worked as the Performing Arts Coordinator with the City of Euless where she taught theatre classes. She’s also taught at Tarrant County College NE’s College for Kids, Spring Garden Elementary and Saint Vincent’s. Anicia owned and operated Starlight Performing Arts Theatre & School, where she produced over 50 full-scale productions and several recitals, concerts and special events. In 2005, Anicia was named a Woman of Influence by the Fort Worth Business Press.
Voice Lessons
Do you need to prepare for an upcoming audition or want to improve your singing skills? Perhaps you just want to keep in vocal shape between events? I can help you do that! I have a few decades of experience in musical theatre, opera and vocal competitions. I can work with you on anything from Rogers and Hammerstein to Sondheim, from Lerner and Lowe to Lin-Manuel Miranda! I've worked on music from Les Miz, Wicked and My Fair Lady. I've coached leads in West Side Story, The Sound of Music and Beauty and the Beast. Come join me for voice lessons and let's see what we can make happen!
Acting Lessons
As an actor, I have always loved the challenge of improving myself. Whether it be preparing for an audition for an upcoming play or a role that needs refining, you can bet I will help you rise above your expectations! I can work with you on scenes from well known plays such as Shakespeare's Hamlet or Noel Coward's Private Lives or Michael Frayn's Noises Off! I can also give you cuttings from shows like Oliver! or Hello Dolly! I have many brief monologues that are helpful and fun and will get you "acting right!" My teaching points include projection, diction, character development and timing. Improv exercises and physical manipulation are all a part of the whole scheme of helping you act out and be real! So if you want to explore those multiple personalities inside you, come act up with me!
Michael Minor
Michael Minor is an accomplished singer, ventriloquist, and impressionist who has had the privilege of entertaining all over the world. As a singing ventriloquist, Michael can impersonate old and new entertainers alike from Louis Armstrong to Justin Timberlake. Michael has also been cast in numerous commercials, voice-overs and industrial shoots covering the East Coast. As well as a role in the movie "Jack Reacher".
Jenny Aubrey
Jenny Aubrey is a seasoned actor and director with Flowertown Players. She has taught classes and workshops and directed our Flowertown youth in Annie, Oliver!, Pippi Longstocking, Seussical Jr., and Frozen Jr. She holds Bachelors's degrees in both Acting and Directing and has studied theatre in London. She has also worked with Broadway children performers at Stagedoor Manor in NY. Jenny loves teaching, directing, and inspiring our young performers to love and appreciate the art of theatre.
