There was just The Hobbit...

Bilbo is small, unassuming creature called a hobbit, who finds himself on a grand adventure. Through spiders, goblins, trolls and elves, our little hero journeys toward a harrowing encounter with the dragon Smaug and finds that sometimes the smallest of creatures can make a difference.

Performed by children and young adults from across Summerville (and the surrounding areas), this hour long adventure will capture the imagination and delight of kids of all ages.

Tune your ears back to the day of yesteryear as the Flowertown Players celebrates the Christmas Season with an original radio production. Filled with songs, sketches, sound effects and old-timey holiday cheer.

Synopsis

The Center Theater was built in 1897. Over the years, it has been a venue for staged plays, screened films, and the popular “Fireside Radio Hour” program from 1938-1946. Unfortunately, the theater has been closed down since the end of World War II. A group from the community, “The Center Theater Players” is staging an old-time Christmas radio show to raise money to revitalize the theater and start an acting troupe. The ghosts who reside in the theater, however, are not pleased at this intrusion. They decide to sabotage the production so that they can get their home back.
